The Maverick Band uses the color orange to protray how music touches people in their 2012 show “Touch”. The band preformed at the Bands Of America Conroe Regional on October 5th and received 16th place.

The Maverick Band performed at the Bands Of America Conroe Regional in its first competition of the season.

The band had strong competition with Ronald Reagan High School, The Woodlands High School, Cedar Park High School, Cedar Ridge High School and Pflugerville High School.

After months of early morning practices, it was time for the band to show off to the judges what they had accomplished.

After their preliminary performance, the band awaited the finals announcement. They barely missed making the finals competition and headed home. The preliminary performance placed them seventh in ensemble music and 16th overall out of 27 bands.

The band can be seen at its UIL Region competition this Saturday Oct. 20 at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex.
