Young at Art

Student featured at Capitol exhibit

Junior Eunjee Chong has been selected to be featured at the prestigious 2014 State Youth Art Month (YAM) exhibit at the Capitol.

“[The artwork submitted] was a prismacolor picture of a group of kids at the Blanton Art museum,” Chong said. “I want to be an animation major, so I think being chosen was pretty exciting”.

Youth Art Month, which begins in March, is celebrated nationwide. Round Rock ISD had four pieces selected for the event (the most entries in the district’s history), and Chong’s entry was the only high school piece selected from the district.
