It’s Gonna Be A Good Friday: RRISD gets bad weather waiver from TEA

Good news has come at last.

The winter had been more unbearable this year and it earned RRISD three days of impromptu vacation.

Now that the snow has thawed and spring is here, the possibility of makeup days appear.

But no worries: the Texas Education Agency approved RRISD’s requests to not have bad weather makeup days due to the probability of low attendance.

Good Friday, April 18, will now continue to be a Friday free of school, and June will also remain where it belongs, as part of summer vacation.
