Freshman Class Officers: World Leaders in the Making
On Friday, Oct. 31, freshmen voted for their class officers through their school gmail accounts. The winners of the class election are: Sammy Ochoa, president; Alejandra Rivera, vice president; Varsha Nathan, secretary; and Maria Maynard, treasurer.
“I ran for secretary because I am good at keeping track of records and I am very organized; nothing can operate without organization.” Nathan said. “I would like to start an anti-bullying program and institute programs against drugs as well.”
Ochoa, who was president in eighth grade as well, ran for freshman class president because he enjoys helping Student Council and contributing to the school society.
“I would like represent the freshman student body by taking the opinions of the class and incorporating them in school,” Ochoa said.
