New Semester, New Season
Tennis begins individual competition
Sophomore Jack Cohen gets into the swing of things.
The tennis team kicked off the new season in February with a tournament at Pflugerville.
Alex Minca and Pooshan Shah came out as semifinalists for Boys Doubles.
The following week, the team competed at the SAISD Tournament in San Antonio. Just like the Pflugerville tournament, there were many semi-finalists. Jack Cohen was a semifinalist for the Boys Singles, Minca and Shah were semifinalists for Boys Doubles, Dan Chilarescu and Amanda Bsaibes were semifinalists for Mixed Doubles, and Masha Aseeva and Julie Pham were semi-finalists for the Girls Doubles.
A win came out from this tournament. Joanne Nguyen won the consolation match for Girls Singles.
