Living With Depression

You’re in a box.

Water is being poured inside the box.

There is no way out.

You can see people there to help.

You reach your hand out to them.

But.

You hear a voice say “No. Don’t let them in.”

You pull your hand back.

The water has filled up to your neck.

It’s getting hard to breathe now.

Breaths are getting shorter.

Shorter.

That is what it’s like having depression.

That’s what it feels like now.
