I believe that true love is hard to find, but once you find it it’s a whole different feeling. The love most teens know is also known as puppy dog love and is very different from real love. Real love is passion not emotion; not what you think of someone, what you feel about them. Real love it hard to obtain but it’s a whole new feeling once you feel it.

The reason true love is so hard to find is because it is a connection you can only share with one person. Love is the connection you feel with someone and you can’t imagine living with anyone else. When you love someone, you can’t be with anyone else and they’re the only person on your mind. Love is a strong passion for someone; that is a whole different feeling.

Puppy dog love on the other hand is a high school feeling. It’s just an emotion and you just want a companion. The feeling of puppy dog love is very short lived, as with a lot of high school relationships. This kind of love is filled with clinginess and jealousy. You would have no intention of marrying this person. It’s just filling a hole of loneliness that comes with being human. When you find this love you feel so happy and joyful for a short period of time. The most you can do is just go with it and search for that true person.

True love is a completely different feeling. It’s not even a feeling; it’s a passion. True love is the feeling of not being able to be without your partner. By “with,” I don’t mean together like with, I mean in companionship with. It’s the passion to want to do anything for that person or with that person. You would take a bullet for them, anything to protect their life. You want to do anything to make that person happy. Any fight you get into you get over, any obstacles you have are easily overcome. This is a completely different feeling from puppy dog love.

I have a personal experience with this. My girlfriend and I are in love. I would do anything for her and she would do anything for me. The feeling is different from anything I have ever felt and it’s a life changer. I have been on both sides of this story and true love changes your life. The feeling you get when you think about the person is moving.
