GYNARCHY
The man to me
Is not the man to you
He’s taken from me
I’m left askew
Bow down in defeat
he says to me you’re a 2nd class citizen
and you serve as we eat
Members of the same species
we divide and conquer
separation or enthusiasts
I can take no longer
can’t walk alone ever
without some bother
if I was a man
I could sit much taller
I’m forced to birth babies
I get cancer of breast
I cook the meatloaves
And I make the beds
The man makes more riches
The man comes home late
The man dirties dishes
As I clean his plates
The man doesn’t worry
As he walks home at night
The feminist inside
wants to break down and cry
I wait for the man
he pays all the bills
I’m good for three things
This void’s hard to fill
I’m trapped in four walls
They start closing in
All I have is this man
And my heart full of sin
Man’s opinion is valued
Woman is seen and not heard
man can walk around shirtless
if woman does it’s absurd
A ragdoll during day
A piece of meat at night
The cycle continues
But I must stand up and fight
A plethora of problems
for the rest of my life
I beg for comfort and love
this man is no where in sight
After all I’ve done
how could he leave me behind
Should’ve known this would happen
when I put his before mine.
