Fall

The Neighbourhood’s 2013 song, Sweater Weather, will forever be my fall anthem

The only time of the year when everyone looks forward to the beauty of death.

The leaves changing color, green red yellow and brown. While the branches remain                  the same.

The earth’s litter is not trash, we have so much fun rolling around in it then putting it in a bag to throw away.

The sun is shining high and bright.

Going outside only for the crisp air to slap you with surprise. The cool is welcomed giving a chance to wear the warm orange sweater two sizes too big. The eyes are thankful for the walk, seeing bright colors are a treat they’ve been waiting for all year. Pumpkins seem to have sprouted out of nowhere now on everyone’s  front door step. A walk is more beautiful now than it has been since the last time fall was here.

But, the wait is okay absence only makes the heart grow fonder.
