Where Are They Now?

Vendies Relocate Due to Construction

The area by the cafeteria where the vending machines used to be.

As the campus continues expansion of the building, the vending machines in the hallway by the cafeteria were removed to make way for the new secure entrance and attendance office.
Since the vending machines have been a part of the campus for a long time, the term “vendies” developed for the students who hang out around the vending machines before and after school and during lunch.
“Because of the remodel, we were shocked that we had no place to call our own,” junior Jay Moore said.
With the removal of the vending machines, roughly 20 vendies have had to relocate after hanging in the same spot for so long. They now have numerous locations where they gather. Many of them sit near the picnic tables outside the cafeteria as well.
“It’s so loud in the cafeteria so we sit outside,” Moore said.
One last vending machine was left in the back of the cafeteria and a few of them hang out near it.
“The destruction of the vending machines have had an impact on them because instead of sitting all together in one area, they have been separated into their own little squads,” junior Morgan Bisher said.
