Good and Mad, written by Rebecca Traister, is newly released.

Women have raised their voices worldwide through the #MeToo movement with their concerns about gender-based issues including bridging the pay gap, sexual harassment and women’s healthcare.

The book, Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger, written by Rebecca Traister, is about the issues and rights of each gender. This book may help people to understand the #MeToo movement as well.

Traister acknowledges women’s anger and that it transformed them to pay attention in

politics. Women’s anger did not begin to erupt in 2018 – it has existed for centuries. The story of female fury and its cultural significance illustrates the long history of bitter resentment that encouraged women’s slow rise to political power in America.

The author tracks the history of female anger as political fuel – from suffragettes marching on the White House, to office workers vacating their buildings after Clarence Thomas was confirmed to the Supreme Court.

Here, Traister explores women’s anger at both genders; the varied ways anger is perceived based on its owner; as well as the history of tragic female anger and the way that transformed into political fuel — as is most certainly occurring today. She deconstructs society’s (and the media’s) criticism of female emotion (notably, rage) and the impact of their resulting repercussions.

Highlighting a double standard perpetuated view against women by all genders, and its disastrous effect, Traister’s latest is timely and crucial. It offers a glimpse into the collected force of women’s collective anger, which, when opened, can change history.

Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger is available at a Barnes &

Noble and other online bookstores for $12.99.
