Early Christmas celebrations are thought or believed to be derived from European and Roman festivals that marked the end of the winter solstice. Customs from these celebrations include decorating homes, gift-giving, singing songs and eating seasonal or special foods.
The holiday of Christmas further evolved with the story of St. Nicholas. Most of the history covering St. Nicholas has been unconfirmed, but his story still stands and continues to change lives across the globe, and is known to many of us as Santa Claus.
