Members of Green Club are actively reducing their impact on the environment with their countless projects that go to reusing and recycling, specifically their courtyard project. The project plans to add walking trails, an outside classroom, a green space and a memorial garden.
“Lately we have just been doing a bunch of cool DIY and recycled projects,” Green Club officer Ella Giard said. “We also did papermaking the other day and did a trash cleanup. But our main goal is to work towards starting our courtyard project.”
The courtyard project has been a goal of Green Club members for a while now.
“Our courtyard project will transform the courtyard in the middle of the cafeteria into a more usable space,” Giard said. “Right now we are trying to get approval from the admin to clean out the courtyard so that the courtyard is a more usable space.”
Green club meetings are held afterschool on Mondays from 4:20-5:15 p.m. in AP environmental science teacher Lauren Griffith’s room.
