In the summer, right after the last of school, a 10 year old Michigan boy named Parker ‘Rider’ Baker is rushing towards home to start another ordinary summer, but it’s going to change when he saw suitcases and backpacks out of the garage and into the car. “Where are we going?” he asked confusingly. His parents Gigi and Jay told him “we’re going to Austin, Texas” at the same time, Parker has no idea why they are going to Austin. He talk to them why, but his parents didn’t answer him, put their stuff in the trunk, grabbed him and drive to Texas without a answer.

After five days of non-stop driving, the Baker family arrive to Austin. Parker’s parents ranted a five star hotel called ‘Avalanche Ranch’ to stay for the whole trip. When everyone find the hotel rooms and unpacked all of their stuff; Parker ask his parents again on why they are in Texas, but Gigi told him that it’s time for dinner and Jay tells him to get ready for bed until after dinner. Parker still has no idea on what his parents are up to, he thought his parents are just crazy.

The next morning, Jay blew the air horn and Gigi use a bullhorn to get the Baker kids up to get dress and have breakfast. “What was that for!” Parker screamed, Gigi answered him “No time for questions to be ask just do what we say, now hurry up!”.When everyone got dress and had breakfast, they jumped back into the car and start driving right away. After 3 hours, the Baker family finally reached their location. When they got out of the car Parker ask his parents his question for the third and final time. “Why are we all here in Austin, Texas?”! he shouted. Jay answered “We came to Austin for something special your mother and I plan out.” The family starts walking towards destination, until they are at the Circuit of the Americas. Gigi announced “Welcome to the X Games!”; Parker was shocked when his mother said that. It was his dream for a long time and it came true.

For four days, the Baker family had a blast watching all the athletes perform the stunts that they never seen before. It was the best summer Parker had in his life. He ask his parents if they can back next summer and they said yes. They cannot wait to go back and see all the action again. Parker thinks that’s why Austin is the best city in the world.
