Red Ribbon Week Begins
Students Motivated to Stay Drug Free
McNeil is celebrating Red Ribbon Week beginning Monday, Oct. 28. Student Council has many events organized to avoid using drugs.
To show support for staying drug free, students can participate in the following theme days by dressing up:
Monday: Camo Day – “Wage war against drugs.”
Tuesday: Twin Day – “Double up against drugs.”
Wednesday: Nerd Day – “Be smart, don’t do drugs.”
Thursday: Future Career Day – “Oh the places we’ll go, drug free.”
Friday: Wear Red – “Rally in Red Day.”
Along with the theme days, clubs and individuals will participate in a sidewalk chalk activity during which students will write out slogans and ways to avoid using drugs. The activity will take place on Monday after school by the back parking lot.
Students will also be distributing red ribbons and stickers to remind and motivate students to stay drug free.
Your donation will support the student journalists of McNeil High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
