“Lights, Camera, Follies”: Choir Students to Perform Annual Show
A movie without music is like an overcooked toaster waffle: dry and extremely boring. Watching Jaws without its signature ominous E-F note progression would not be the same. How else would viewers know when the shark was approaching its next unfortunate victim?
That music-movie relationship will be showcased at the choirs’ 22nd Annual Follies program Nov. 8 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.
This year’s theme is Reel Music: Lights, Camera, Follies. Students from all choir groups will perform an assortment of songs from popular movies such as Grease, Pitch Perfect, among others.
Admission will be $10 for non-students, $5 for students and senior citizens, and free to preschool children and RRISD employees (with badge). Those who pay for two shows will get the third free, and the money raised will go to fund the choir program.
Your donation will support the student journalists of McNeil High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
