Homecoming Goes Hollywood
It is the fourth week of school, and Homecoming week is already upon us. Along with the game against Cedar Ridge on Sept. 19, the week will consist of dress up days, a carnival, a tailgate party and a dance.
The dress up days are as follows:
Monday (9/15) – Stars So Bright
Tuesday (9/16) – Dynamic Duos
Wednesday (9/17) – Think Pink
Thursday (9/18) – ‘80s Day
Friday (9/19) – Spirit Day
The Homecoming Carnival will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 5-8 p.m in the front parking lot. Many clubs and organizations will have booths set up with activities and food for sale.
On Friday, Sept. 19, there will be a pep rally during the last period of the day, beginning at 3:25 and ending at 4:10. After school, the Homecoming game against Cedar Ridge will begin at 7 p.m. at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex. Before the game, there will be a tailgate in the home side parking lot at 5 p.m. to raise money for the Kylie and Ryan Murphy Scholarship fund.
The theme of the Homecoming Dance is “Homecoming Goes Hollywood.” The dance will be held from 8 p.m to midnight on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Frank Fickett Center. Tickets are for for sale for $25 in the cafeteria during all lunches until Wednesday, Sept. 17. Ticket prices increase to $35 if purchased Thursday or Friday. If students wait to buy a ticket at the door, it will run $45.
Students must turn in a signed permission form when they purchase their tickets.
