Cheerleaders to Collect Books for Dell Children’s Hospital
Cheer is hosting a book drive for Dell Children’s hospital. Students can donate gently used or new children to teen/young adult books through Oct. 30 in the box located outside of C133. “We have a lot of fun collecting these books,” senior cheerleader Michaela Guillory said. “We are really competitive against each other, and it’s for a good cause.” The cheerleaders collected more than 1,000 books last year and hope to gather more this year. The squad is opening up the book drive to all students and staff to donate. “We want to see how many books McNeil students can raise, so help out this good cause,” assistant cheer coach Carolyn Lethin said. “Once we deliver the books to the hospital, the patients there are able to check a book out from the book center and also get to take one book home.”
Your donation will support the student journalists of McNeil High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
