Peanut Butter Drive for Students in Need
Student Council will host a campaign to collect jars of peanut butter to donate to The Backpack Coalition to aid hungry students around the Round Rock School District.
The campaign will collect peanut butter during second period classes starting Feb. 23 and ending on March 6, with a main goal to collect 7,000 ounces of peanut butter.
Each second period class will participate in a competition to see which one can collect the most jars. At the end of each week, Student Council officers will collect all donations and update each class’s standing in the competition, with an ice cream party for the class that collects the most jars.
The Backpack Coalition is made up of various churches, civic and business organizations that assemble and distribute food kits to children in 15 schools throughout RRISD.
Your donation will support the student journalists of McNeil High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
