In the Mood for Food

Spanish Honor Society Holds Party

Spanish Honor Society held a breakfast party for the Spanish teachers in the Lecture Hall Nov. 20, 2015. The items were donated from the club’s general members, who were encouraged to speak Spanish to other students the entire time.

“They had more variety of food this year,” Junior Vivan Nguyen said, “My favorite food item was probably the blueberry muffins.”

After every teacher and student had grabbed breakfast, the officers created a Kahoot game that was projected on the screen. Each general member faced the others in a quick and easy trivia. Nguyen was the overall winner of the game.

“I thought the Kahoot game was a lot of fun,” Nguyen said. “It was also very fun winning because it’s nice knowing I’m not completely awful at Spanish.”

Through this experience, teachers and students alike were able to have a preview of the spirit of Thanksgiving. Teachers were particularly grateful to the students for putting together the breakfast.
“A heartfelt thank you to the Spanish Honor Society for the delicious breakfast and fun game,” pre-AP Spanish 3 teacher Judy Sasaridis said. “It is so uplifting to see the spirit of service and camaraderie in this wonderful organization.”
