Coffee House
Choir boosters host variety show, silent auction
Coffee House, a variety show and silent auction, will be Friday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. The show is being organized by the choir boosters.
“Coffeehouse is more like an open mic night,” choir director Wendi Burwinkel said. “Students are auditioning a variety of acts to have a spot in the event, but it should be really cool.”
The auditions, calling “singers, dancers, magicians, jugglers, poetry readings, comedians, monologues, musicians, skits, groups, and solos,” were Feb. 2 and Feb. 6.
“We will also have a silent auction for people to bid on a variety of goods and services,” Burwinkel said.
The show is family friendly and serves as a fundraiser for the choir program.
“We’ll have tables set up with food,” choir president senior Hope Lawrence said. “And we’ll have people be ‘servers.’”
