Fifty-seven DECA students competed in district competition on Jan. 21 at Copperas Cove High School.
McNeil competed in more than 25 different business and marketing events. There were Of the 57 competitors, 38 advanced to state competition in San Antonio which will take place on Feb. 23.

“I didn’t expect it to make it to state because I did not feel very confident about my performance,” Dhawan said. “After the experience of making it to state, I learned that sometimes you should believe in yourself and the outcome can be much better than you expect.”
