Homecoming is almost here! This year, the football game will be held on Sept. 20 and the dance will be held the following day on Sept.21. The dance will be hosted at the McNeil cafeteria from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold the week of homecoming, Sept. 16-20.

This year’s homecoming is a month earlier than last year’s, which was held on October 27, 2024. 

“I don’t mind homecoming being earlier than last year.” Sophomore Addison Crail said. “I just have to make sure I order mum supplies and buy a dress before homecoming sneaks up on me since it’s so early in the year. “

Even though homecoming is earlier this year, there is a logical reason for this change.

“So, the way homecoming works, you have to pick a Friday night when you play as the home team and play at Kelly Reeves.” Assistant principal John Mark Edwards said. “There were only three options, and we picked the September option because it looked best with the school’s calendar.”

Dance tickets will only be sold in advance and will not be sold at the door.
