Asian American Pacific Islander Club had their first meeting of the year on Friday, Sept. 13 during flex. Officer introductions and general information about the club were explained to students as well as a brief presentation about the history of boba.
During the meeting, students played a Kahoot over random facts about Asia, and were free to get a drink from a boba drink bar held by the club officers. The winner of kahoot won a bucket of free jelly.
“I’m really happy because I got a whole bunch of jelly,” senior Avanee Nagory said. “Seeing so many people was really fun.”
AAPI Club is a club based on honoring and learning about different Asian cultures. Their goal is to unite students and help them learn more about the history and traditions of Asians and Pacific Islanders.
“It was really nice how [the club officer] talks about different Asian cultures,” Nagory said. “It’s really nice how so many people come together in one room.”
