McNeil High School is getting ready for an event this fall, as they prepare to host two blood drives in partnership with We Are Blood. Scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Nov. 22, these drives offer a unique opportunity for students, staff, and community members to contribute to a lifesaving cause.
With nearly 50% of daily blood donations coming from mobile drives like these, the significance of McNeil’s involvement is immense. One donation alone can save up to three lives, highlighting the potential impact of each participant.
“I think it’s a great idea for a great cause, and I’m glad McNeil is helping save lives,” junior Medo Helal said. “The initiative encourages students to prioritize collective well-being and make a positive mark on their community.”
More information on how to sign up and participate will be shared closer to the event dates. For now, students are encouraged to mark their calendars and get ready to make a difference in the lives of many.
