Ink and Quill Society held their third meeting on Friday, Dec 6. This is a club new to this year and aims to encourage writing academically and creatively.
“I am in charge of the academic side of it,” sophomore Co-President Jananisri Ravikumar said. “The reason that we did that is because I know some people who want to improve some of their writing for things like timed writings. I want to give people a chance to grow in both academic and creative journeys.”
The Ink and Quill Society allows for people to write freely with people who enjoy writing. Keya Banta said she likes being able to connect with people who are silly and enjoy writing.
“If you force writing on somebody and it is boring, it is going to be boring,” Ravikumar said. ”I believe with the right tools and the way you persuade people it can be super fun. I want people to write whatever they want knowing no one is going to judge them because in this world everything gets judged.”
