Administration started selling prom tickets on Monday, March 1, starting at $75. Next Friday will be the final day to buy tickets at this price before it increases to $85. Differing from years past, tickets are not being sold in person this year and will only be available through the MORP app.
“I feel like it’s easier to buy tickets this year,” senior Emily Grass said. “It helps people stay accountable and not lose them. I think the line to get into prom [last year] was definitely longer because of the verification process, like to make sure that you actually bought a ticket. Whereas online I assume that it’s going to be an easier process getting inside.”
Prom will be at the Kalahari Convention Center on Saturday, Apr. 19 from 7-11 p.m. To buy tickets, you must be a junior or senior. All McNeil attending students must have a valid student ID to get into prom.
“I am excited to see how it ends up being [at Kalahari},” junior Shivam Kapry said. “I’ve never been to prom before this is my first year. I hope it’s much bigger than homecoming because it’s only juniors and seniors and you have to pay a really expensive fee to get in.”
