With the PSAT being on Oct. 22 for sophomores and juniors, this will prepare students with the knowledge of future SAT’s (Nov. 8, Dec 6, March 14, May 2, and June 6) coming up for juniors and seniors. In order to start preparing for the test, students can go through Khan Academy’s SAT Test prep. Since the PSAT is getting students ready to take the SAT, this test will help students get a feel for what they will need to study more for the SAT. One way to prepare for the SAT is Khan Academy’s test prep which has a variety of different levels and subjects, from the foundations of algebra to advanced reading and writing. This is a good way to start the journey of preparing for future SATs.
Another good way to study is by doing Bluebook’s SAT practice tests. These tests are past SAT’s that allow students to practice their time management as well as seeing what the questions will look like. Since Bluebook’s tests were past SAT’s that means that it will take longer to complete, and requires students to focus on more than one subject.
Before starting preparation for SATs, students should first prepare for the PSAT. They can do this by charging their chromebooks the night before, making sure to get at least eight hours of sleep, and bringing snacks and water; for when the time comes to stay in a room for hours and focusing on taking a test, students will be more prepared and be able to get higher scores.
