A staff development day will occur on Monday, Oct. 14 as the second holiday of the month. This is Indigenous Peoples Day, a civil holiday every second Monday of October.
“[I will be using Monday to] catch up on some regular classwork and study for my upcoming tests,” sophomore Trisha Shah said.
Although the students are off, teachers use this day as a valuable time to catch up on grading papers or preparing lesson plans. They will also welcome new teachers, hear from Dr. Eagleton who is giving campus updates, and prepare for PSAT testing.
“I’m excited to get to know who’s new on campus,” chemistry teacher Stephanie Franco said. “I look forward to hearing from Dr. Eagleton now that he’s back on campus.”
