Seniors were tested by the government-mandated National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) to gain data on schools in Texas and to update statistics to better serve schools in the Round Rock district during the middle of February.
“There were some Seniors in TAG, some in On-Level, it had anything, anyone,” senior Evelyn D’Souza said.
The tests were carried throughout the school day with senior students who had received emails giving directions previous to the test.
“The testing was pretty seamless throughout my day,” senior Sanath Bharadwaj said. “[I] went out early for lunch and then came back and took the tests, it was quick.”
The tests focused on subjects such as mathematics, world geography, reading and science, meant for seniors in high school.
“It felt like the STAAR test but with a lot less pressure,” senior Mia Manhein said. “I’m sure people did alright [on the test].”
