With only four games left until district playoffs, the Lady Mavericks are still going strong in their undefeated season, with seven wins.
“The best part so far is being able to say we have won every game,“ senior Mikala Bonner said. “I couldn’t be more proud or honored to play for, and with, such a great team full of wonderful athletes.”
In their second meeting against Vandegrift, the Lady Mavs ended up with a score of 15-2, similar to their first win against the Lady Vipers.
Although the game against St. Michaels was a close one, the Lady Mavs pulled out a 9-8 victory.
In their most recent game against Westlake, the Lady Mavericks finished strong with a score of 7-4.
The future looks bright for the team, and they are excited to see what’s in store for them.
“By the end of season, I hope we all get the chance to say we made state,” Bonner said. “And I hope that our seniors can walk away knowing that we set the bar high, because [the winning] doesn’t end when we leave.”
