Playoffs End for Boys’ LAX
The boys’ lacrosse team competed in a playoff tournament May 2-3 in Dallas. The Mavericks won their game Saturday by a 24-10 landslide against Reagan.
“The Reagan game was great,” freshman Adam Court said. “We were down by three but then came back and crushed them.”
The following game on Sunday did not have the same outcome, losing 13-18 against Colleyville. “It was a lot harder,” senior Jake Malone said. “We all played at the top of our game to stay with them, but they had more players.”
Players and spectators thought it was an unfair game for many reasons.
“We got cheated by the refs because we did not get any calls,” Court said.
With the loss of this game the season has come to an end.
“It’s terrible the season is over but I will be playing next year,” senior Colton Tillotson said.
He will play at Adams State University in California.
