Tennis Team Wins Fourth in District, Going to Playoffs
The tennis team won fourth place in the district tournament, making it to the state playoffs for the third year in a row.
“Winning the first round felt really good because we worked really hard for it and we showed up and beat them,” varsity player Aahana Gondalia said. “The teams that we played were extremely hard but everyone tried their best and I think we gave it our all.”
The team defeated Cedar Ridge in the first round, then lost to number one seed Westwood and number three seed Round Rock.
“Westwood and Round Rock were on another level,” Gondalia said. “It was really hard to go against them but we had a lot of really great rallies and it made me play a lot better than I ever thought I could.”
