The Mavs are headed into their fifth district game and seventh overall after playing Vandegrift last Friday. Last week marked their fourth loss of the season against Vandegrift. Making the Mavs 2-2 in the district.
“We have a lot of stuff to figure out but we have Jarell Gary playing [quarterback] and we have a whole new offense right now,” senior Joshua Gayden said. “They’re going to do their job and put up the points we need.”
The Mavs offense is looking different with junior starting quarterback Jadon Sultz being out due to an injury, but he knows that his team is prepared and will come out on top.
“Most of our players played a different role last game than they usually do,” Sultz said. “So I hope this week they can embrace those roles and be the best that they can be on the field.”
Overall the Mavs have a major goal in making the playoffs this season and the team believes they are ready to put in the work and dedication.
