How and why did you decide to work with students?
My parents were educators, and I’ve been encouraged by many mentors and teachers throughout my career to consider education. Once I started helping students as a profession, I could not think of anything else I’d rather be doing.
Have you picked up any new hobbies or started any projects during quarantine?
My dog has become quite accustomed to the extra walks he’s been getting, so I’ve kept up my desire to spend more time outside hiking through nature.

Always be fierce and fearless. Forge ahead on the path you know is right.
When you were in high school, what were your aspirations?
Honestly? I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up! But it’s never about the destination; it’s about the journey you experience on the way.
