Chinese Zodiacs

2024 welcomes another year of the Dragon. Chinese zodiacs correspond with each year in a two-year cycle rather than each month like western zodiac signs. Every year has a new sign and they all mean different things. It’s believed that the year itself, and people born in that year, have some of the attributes of the corresponding zodiac animal. The Dragon represents good luck, fortune, health and strength.

For people born in 2006, their year is represented by the Dog. Like the symbol of a dog, these individuals are known for their loyalty, and ready to help others when needed. According to the sign, these people can also struggle with communication and their stubbornness.

2007 dedicates the Pig as its representing zodiac. Individuals born in this year are believed to be social, loveable people. Other traits for individuals born in this year include honesty, patience and generosity. Although likable people, they can be naive due to their very trusting qualities.

The Rat symbolizes 2008. This birth year carries characteristics like curiosity, intelligence and their sociability. They are also the most quick-witted of the signs. This sign isn’t all good though, these people can be considered greedy as well as pessimistic.

The zodiac representing 2009 is the Ox. Like the animal, these people are thought to show traits of strength and determination. These people are also known for their slow pace and inefficiency. Similar to the Dog, they can be stubborn at times.
