Leaves crunch beneath my feet

the pumpkin spice latte giving off heat

It’s becoming cold

clothes are no longer bold

Monsters come out to play on one special night

some will give you a fright

Others sit and wait

candy becoming their bait

Football on TV becoming a Sunday tradition

watching players get in position

Families gather to watch them play

Especially on Thanksgiving Day

The nights approaching will be cool

Younger generations will be starting school

Flannels and scarfs are the new style

Bright colors are only seen every once in awhile

This is the transition between two seasons

the earth’s rotation is one of the reasons

Autumn is here because summer is leaving

and autumn will leave once winter becomes perceiving
