Complexities of Superiority Complexes
A position of self importance.
Putting one being, group, place, idea- anything
On a podium of unearned dominance.
Be it race, sex, wealth or something as simple as the structure of a body and face.
Judgment used to crown the judge.
Seated upon a self proclaimed and unjust throne.
We scream and yell in protest.
They never seem to budge.
We aren’t always so unruly in our plights for the highest position
It can come from a first glance, first impression.
Even those who fight out against such social cruelty,
Yes, sometimes even they can hold themselves higher.
Than someone they deem, before even knowing the person,
That somehow they are better.
It is like a whisper in the back of everyone’s head.
A small voice telling the people, who are not all that different,
That, for a trivial reason, they are superior.
