Blended
Bland potential.
Things were smooth
He was nothing more than a friend
In the same space but unblended
Then out of nowhere things got rough
He became thoughts of ‘we’
Like chunks of ice thrown into the mix to create a different texture
He was now blended into my mind
Etched into the words I spoke and the way I act
Blissful metal blades pushed us together
Allowing me to feel more than I intended
I could smile like before but felt the world inside my body
Explosions of stars could not compare to what was inside me
My cheeks showed weakness, splotched with red
Every time so different but just as beautiful
Life was bland, now it’s bursting with colors
Colors that paint my life in every way I could never imagine
Hues that were non-existent are now my favorite
