Elections for Student Council and class officers were tough between the candidates. The election nominations were sent to student email accounts and the voting went on for about a month.

“I was Student Council president last year and then I was nervous, but this time I’m excited,” junior Thomas Sullivan said. “Over next year I want everyone to have a lot more school spirit and have themes for football and basketball games. I also want people to have more opportunities for community service.”

The new class officers want to make a bigger impact and get people more involved.

“I was ecstatic about finding out that I won because I worked hard all year to get this position” sophomore Laura Wimmer said.  “I’ve been paying close attention to how we’ve handled all our events and thinking about ways I can make them better for next year. I just really want to help the school improve to be the best it can be for all the students because I have a lot of school spirit and want to share that with the student body.”
