Guard, Band Sweep Podium
While competing at the Texas Color Guard Circuit State Championships in College Station, guard placed third in the Scholastic National A division.
“When we won third place I froze and then started screaming and almost fell on my face trying to get down to the floor,” junior Miranda Biggerstaff said.
The band also had success at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest in Georgetown; the concert band, wind ensemble and symphonic band received almost all superior ratings.
“My favorite part of UIL was knowing that it would be the last time we would perform the music we worked so hard on,” senior Ashley Chen said.
Both color guard and band’s work has paid off well this semester.
“These kids have worked so incredibly hard throughout the semester and they all succeeded in every way possible,” assistant band director Jason Dimiceli said.
