Pretty Straight Forward

In observance of the Student Council sponsored Red Ribbon Week, junior Michelle Koh takes the stage in an attempt to conquer the vision impairment goggles. “Walking straight with the goggles on was a lot harder than I thought it would be after watching others,” Koh said. The Red Ribbon Campaign was initiated in 1985 as a reaction to the murder of Enrique Camarena, an agent at the Drug Enforcement Administration. In his honor, red ribbons were worn by the public as a symbol of commitment to end destruction induced by drugs. McNeil recognizes the consequences of drugs each year during Red Ribbon Week with vision impairment drugs to represent effects of alcohol on drivers.
