DECA students advance to Internationals
After 47 DECA competitors headed off to state competition, five have advanced to International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, April 21-24.
Kevin Qi, Aadhithya Kannan, Abhinav Mugunda, Vaishnavi Kothakonda and Riya Chaudhry advanced to ICDC
“I’m most excited to meet new people,” junior Kevin Qi said. “I’ve never been to Atlanta and am excited about seeing all the sights and the culture.”
This is the second time that Qi has advanced to ICDC and a first for the others.
“I was not expecting to advance because I didn’t think I did well compared to the other people,” junior Vaishnavi Kothakonda said. “I’m advancing to compete against new competitors. I have to be confident in everything that I’m saying even if I don’t feel confident.”
