Soup-er Bowl Season Now

Soup-er Bowl Season Now

Throughout January, the school is collecting food items donated by students to send to

the local charity. To increase participation, the biology department decided to participate by conducting the class tournament to see which class brings the most donations. The class with the most caring items donated will be crowned the Souper Bowl of caring champion, and will receive the honor of recognition. Acceptable donations include canes, boxes and packed foods, and avoid any raw, need-to-cook and fragile foods.

I decided to donate so I can help those in need. I thought there was no difficulty for me to buy some products for people who need them.

“I decided to donate so I can help those in need,” junior Sophia Chacon said. “I thought

there was no difficulty for me to buy some products for people who need them.”

So far, the boxes are filled with peanut butter and tuna, which are both protein products.

“Students have been participating well,” AP and Pre-AP biology teacher Heidi Roop-Morland said. “Since this is conducted to help others and we give participants an honor of recognition, I really support this fundraiser.”

There will also be an MVP. The player who brings the most protein product will be

crowned Most Valuable player. The food items are due at the end of January, and the boxes in room A226 haven’t filled yet.
