National Honor Society Induction
The National Honor Society (NHS) induction for new members will take place Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. Those who were admitted demonstrated scholarship, character, leadership and service.
The application due date for NHS was Sept. 23 and only juniors or seniors could apply to become part of the organization. Membership points are earned through participation in NHS-sponsored volunteering activities done within the school (“inside points”) or at outside organizations (“outside points,”) and through tutoring students during Flex. Students inducted as juniors must earn four inside and four outside points during both their junior and senior years to retain membership. As for seniors, they are required to earn five inside and five outside points over the year. All members are also required to earn an additional six tutoring points over the year.
