McNeil Winterguard To Compete in WGI
McNeil Varsity Winterguard will compete in the Winter Guard International Competition (WGI) on Feb. 18 at Lake Ridge High School in Dallas, Texas. Their second competition was originally supposed to take place on Feb. 4, but was canceled as a result of the state-wide winter storm.
Colorguard has been preparing for their show since late November and they’ve been practicing two to three times a week. If the team qualifies for regionals, they will perform again later that night, receiving an additional evaluation for finals.
The team will continue to compete until April when Varsity attends the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. The world championship will be their last competition of the season and their first trip to Dayton since the spring of 2019.
