Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer hours are important for students to get because it shows dedication and compassion which colleges admire. Figuring out how to volunteer can be stressful. Currently, there are tons of great events and organizations that offer volunteer opportunities.

 

The YMCA offers many different volunteer opportunities for people ages 15-17 like being a lunch helper at the Austin Community College Highland Campus, Renaissance Hotel, Texas State Capitol or the Federal Courthouse. This job consists of distributing lunches and cleaning up after. Slots are open March 3-4 and will give 2-3 hours of community service.

 

The Reset Teen Center has a weekly volunteer event. Every Thursday from February to March, prepare a meal according to the day and drop it off between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. at  the Reset Resource Center to provide food for teens. 

 

Texas Baptist Children’s Home offers many different volunteer opportunities such as yard work, meal preparation and house cleaning. Each job is 2-2.5 hours. Opportunities are open from February through April.
