Starbucks launched a new way to add protein to your diet on Monday, Sep. 29, with their new protein lattes and cold foam. Customers can now order a vanilla protein latte, starting at $6.75 for an iced grande, which is an 80 cent increase, or an iced protein matcha starting at $6.45.
The matcha contains 36 grams of protein, while the vanilla latte contains 29 grams. They also introduced protein cold foam in ten flavors, each adding 15 grams of protein and costing an additional $2 to add to a drink.
The lattes and cold foams get their protein from protein-boosted milk, a blend of 2% milk with whey protein.
