ROTC Stands Proud at National Competition

Members of the ROTC Academic Team participated in round one of the ROTC Academic Bowl Nov. 1-15 and are advancing to round two of the national competition.

The competition consists of questions in the subjects of Junior ROTC, language arts, math and current events. SAT- and ACT-style questions are used in the competitions and participants are provided with practice tests in preparation for the bowl. In effect, this competition helps raise SAT and ACT scores, and helps increase college admission interest among students.

The second round of the academic bowl is Internet based and will take place February 1-15. The McNeil team will compete in Area 4, Division 2 of the competition to see if the team will advance to the third round.
