On Monday, Sept. 30, the 20th annual Festival of Bands is being held at held at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex starting at 7 p.m.
“I’m pretty sad about this being my last festival,” senior clarinet Valerie Alvarado said. “I’m gonna miss the people in it and the memories especially. I’m just trying to enjoy the year while it lasts.”
Normally there are special guests from the Texas State or University of Texas Marching Band, but this year Spike from the Round Rock Express will be visiting.
“I’m honestly terrified to perform in such a big crowd,” freshman mellophone Megan Conlan said. “I’m most excited to see my middle school directors and have them see what I can do.”
